Decolonize!

Founded in 1865 as a machine factory, the Kampnagel was converted to armament purposes by the Nazis between 1939 and 1945 using forced labour. But there were also particularly pronounced resistance structures in traditionally communist Barmbek as well as within the Kampnagel factory workforce. For the work as an international arts venue, this history is relevant for our present and future programming and solidary attitude. On guided tours, we will present the first in-depth research results on Kampnagel‘s history in the Nazi era.
