Billionaire Klaus-Michael Kühne has given the city of Hamburg a controversial gift: the financing of a new opera house at Baakenhöft. Planning has now begun and the architectural qualification process is underway. Quite a few people suspect a Danaer gift; there are doubts and criticism.
