Mabe Fratti blends experimental cello playing, rock, jazz, and feedback loops into an exhilarating pop sound. On her fourth solo album in five years, “Sentir Que No Sabes” (Unheard of Hope), the Guatemala-born, Mexico City-based musician pairs her delicate dream-pop vocals with drums, guitars, and cello riffs that urge listeners to “forget everything they know about stylistic boundaries in pop music” (Der Spiegel).
