Lecture performance with Mei Yi Foo

In the run-up to the big opening concert, up and coming Malaysian pianist and expert in new music, Mei Yi Foo presents Claude Vivier’s ‘Shiraz’. The highly virtuoso solo piano piece refers to the town of the same name in Iran, that Vivier visited on his extended tour of Asia. Now some of his most important companions are coming together for a panel discussion, including Vivier’s long-term girlfriend and now trustee, Thérèse Desjardins and his former classmate and compatriot Louise Duchesneau. Matthias Pintscher, who will conduct the symphony concert afterwards, is also taking part.
