The MIGRANTPOLITAN community gets cooking and invites you to the table to share a meal and exchange ideas. In summer, once again in the usual cozy setting of the Migrantpolitan and the Avant-Garden.

In the first three months of the year, the popular COMMUNITY COOKING took place in the form of a cooking competition, which lead to a final in April. A culinary showdown:

Two talented chefs, a budget of 50 euros and one hour to prepare a delicious main course for 10-15 people. The competition starts for the culinary artists at 18:00. Doors open at 18:30 for our esteemed judges, the feasting guests!) and then close promptly at 19:00. So come early! The Migrantpolitan team will be running the event, with some members acting as master chefs to assist the participants. The winners will qualify for the final on 04.04., where there will be great prizes. Apply for the competition or become part of the jury (by sending an email to migrantpolitan@kampnagel.de) and let the culinary magic begin!

The Migrantpolitan on the Kampnagel site is an activity space for, by and/or with locals and the new citizens (migrants) and a space in which the social distinction of »refugees« and »locals« is erased. Itʼs a laboratory for development and creation, a meeting room where culture and art meets the reality of life. There, a new way of collaborating, sharing and co-living is tested and participants jointly exchange cosmopolitan visions. The self-empowerment platform produces solidarity practices, and presents migrant perspectives in a transcultural living room for all. This constellation of people and beliefs has created emancipatory concepts with impacts far beyond Kampnagel.
