Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells Live In Concert – The 50th Anniversary Celebration

English composer and musician Robin A Smith has been collaborating with Mike Oldfield for 25 years and played a key role in bringing Oldfield’s TUBULAR BELLS 2 and 3 albums to life on stage. Now, he is reviving Oldfield’s legendary debut album, TUBULAR BELLS, which Oldfield released in 1973 at the age of 20. Recorded using an overdubbing technique, this mostly instrumental album redefined the concept of rock music and made music history. In 2023, after 23 studio albums and numerous chart successes, Mike Oldfield announced his retirement from the stage. However, he supports and promotes his longtime musical partner Robin A Smith’s performance of the album, which will be brought to life in full length by a large ensemble and will further include classic Mike Oldfield hits like MOONLIGHT SHADOW, SUMMIT DAY, FAMILY MAN, and OMMADAWN – playing to sold-out venues worldwide.
