HipHop with attitude: feminist, PoC, dope.
One Mother are a feminist artist collective centered around Preach and Natasha P., who have unleashed a furor with their recent debut releases. Futuristic R n’ B with attitude – for queers, PoCs and anyone bored with white-majority culture. For their International Summer Festival showcase they are also bringing in South African rapper Dope Saint Jude and the notorious Klitclique. Dope Saint Jude describes herself as a »gangster, hustler, activist, producer, social worker and party animal.« In her lyrics, she explores the consequences of Apartheid and the daily gender problems in the Cape Flats. In the wake of collaborations with MIA and Angel Ho, she also worked with Jlin (who created the music for the dance piece AUTOBIOGRAPHY) on her last album. Klitclique, meanwhile, came out of the circle associated with the satirical Fraternity Hysteria and dissect the Vienna art world with its radical-feminist low-tech battle rap. Performance-superstar Florentina Holzinger will also make an exclusive appearance at the party following her last APOLLON show.
