Joining a dance company often comes with a number of challenges. Firstly, spots are usually very limited, and secondly, the requirements are often based on normative ideas of excellence and are primarily aimed at dancers with years of education, usually in classical dance. The recently founded MAI:COMPANY is different, as it is explicitly aimed at as many people as possible without professional dance experience. MAI:COMPANY is led by choreographer Patricia Carolin Mai, whose work stands for cross-generational and cross-contextual collaboration with people interested in movement. The MAI:COMPANY will create artistic dialogues and share individual movement practices. If you are interested in becoming part of MAI:COMPANY, then come along to get to know us.
