Planningtorock / Frznte

Planningtorock is a musical project by genderqueer artist Jam Rostron (whose preferred pronouns are they/ their/them). On their last album, Rostron delivered perfect, disco-fied slogans for the queer revolution – including »Let’s Talk About Gender Baby.« Their follow-up, »Powerhouse,« which was released on DFA, is more personal. With their own distinct and personalised queered voice laid over house-y, pop-y beats, they take stock of the stations of their own life. Rostron ultimately found themselves after overcoming numerous hurdles, and uses their story to embolden those shut out by the patriarchy. The concert by Planningtorock, who most recently played an intense concert at Kampnagel in 2011, is part of the "Peaches presents» series – happening after her new show in the K6 space and the exhibition in the Kunstverein. At Peaches’ request, FRZNTE’s DJ skills and laser high heels will then turn the concert evening into a party event. Patriarchy over & out!
