Public Screaming

In the run-up to the German Bundestag elections on February 23, it seems clear that the result will be challenging for all those in Germany who are committed to a progressive, inclusive and non-violent pluralist democracy. It is foreseeable that there will be plenty of reasons for anger, bewilderment or sadness on election night. That's why we want to come together and shout, cry, discuss, laugh, hope, drink and dance – and show our support: We are fighting for a plural democracy and we are not giving up, neither before the election nor after. Kampnagel is calling on people to become active and fight together.
On the initiative of HKW (Berlin), Kampnagel, together with a nationwide network of other venues, invites you to a public screening in Hamburg where you can follow the first projections, results and post-election statements together and comment on them live in front of an audience. After casting your vote in your polling station, the panelists will help us through the evening from 17:00 with shared anger, strategies against the right, unraveling ambivalences, invitations to ally and question, and initial election analyses. In between, we will follow the numbers in the live stream and connect with the other public screamings via Zoom. If it gets too much for you, you can retreat to the Quiet Space. We'll end the evening together at Migrantpolitan.
