With DANCE MACHINES, Choreographer Regina Rossi and digital artist Gloria Schulz created a futuristic dance class: Avatars of two professional dancers ask the participants to dance. Equipped with VR glasses and headphones, they immerse themselves in a virtual world and dance together – exploring virtual space as a place for dance. With DANCE MACHINES: BREAKING VIRTUAL, they continue to develop their research. The focus is on the potential of community building through movement and dance in virtual reality, as well as a virtual encounter with hip-hop culture. DANCE MACHINES: BREAKING VIRTUAL will premiere at Kampnagel in the upcoming season. Now the team opens the doors of the rehearsal room and is looking forward to numerous beta testers or test audience for the further development of the application and the performance.

DANCE MACHINES: BREAKING VIRTUAL is a production by Regina Rossi Tanzproduktionen, in co-production with Kampnagel.
