Remix Ensemble Porto

‘Pink Velvet‘s Bad Trip’ is a programme from the Portuguese Remix Ensemble. The title brings the evening’s pieces together. Inspired by the psychedelic sounds of Pink Floyd, composer Vítor Rua, who is also from Portugal, has created a spacey collage of sound. ‘Velvet’ also refers to experimental rock band The Velvet Underground, which David Horne reflects in ‘Restless Feeling’. And on a ‘bad trip’ the musicians betake a drug trip with Fausto Romitelli’s compositional treatment.
