The Mausis (The Mousies) consists of German indie stars Stella Sommer and Drangsal and has only made one live appearance so far, peeking out of its mouse hole. Following an EP featuring the hit “Was kann ein Mausi dafür” (What can a Mousi do about it) and the poignant Christmas song “A Mausi Christmas,” the duo will now release its debut album “In einem blauen Mond” (Inside a Blue Moon). It showcases two songwriters confidently weaving their way through pop, folk, and country, with a Johnny Cash double bass included. To make room for the mice, Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung will open the “Speisekammer des Weltendes” (Pantry of the End of the World) in advance. This is the title of the new album by “possibly the best new German band of recent years” (Musikexpress), which also includes one half of the Summer Festival graphic duo playing bass. Peppered with culinary metaphors, this band, influenced by krautrock and punk, explores the grand feast before the apocalypse. In other words, the typical fate of the mouse.
