Bakr Khleifi, a longstanding member of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra as a double bass player, is a world-renowned oud teacher and player. Alongside the classical Persian musician and kamanche (Iranian spiked violin) player Misagh Joolaee, a multiple winner of the German Record Critics’ Award, he will create a platform for cultural dialogue at Waldbühne for the festival opening.
