Dr. Jamille Pinheiro Dias
Dr. Jamille Pinheiro Dias is a scholar, curator, artist, and translator. Her work centers on cultural studies and the ecologies, literature, and visual arts of Latin America, with a particular focus on Brazil and Indigenous cultural production in the Amazon region. She currently serves as Director of the Centre of Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of London, where she also teaches. Previously, she held academic positions at institutions including Duke University, the University of California, Stanford University, Brown University, and the University of São Paulo. At the MARKK, she will offer insights into her research and her engagement with Indigenous artistic practices.
