Once a year, Hamburg’s architectural culture can be experienced during the nationwide “Open Monument Day”. At Kampnagel, the initiators of “Forced Labor and Resistance,” a project to reappraise the history of the Kampnagel site, take a look at the past before the artistic use of the site. Artistic director Amelie Deuflhard describes Kampnagel’s development into an international center for the fine arts. With executive director Jonas Zipf, the tour “Transformation of the Transformateur” will focus on the future of Kampnagel and there will be a tour by the restorers of the in-house paternoster in the administration building.
