The tenth issue of the ÜBERJAZZ Festival gathers again (after a pre-opening with the Sun Ra Arkestra on October 30) an extraordinary cross section of current musical trends beyond the usual category: The London-based spoken word artist Kate Tempest presents her new album »The Book Of Traps & Lessons«; Melbourne’s Future Soul sensation Hiatus Kaiyote play their only Germany concert in 2019; Kelsey Lu from Los Angeles returns with band and debut album. The Ezra Collective, Emma-Jean Thackray’s Walrus Maisha and Steam Down represent the exciting young London jazz scene; and one of the four stages is on both evenings exclusively for the Berlin label KRYPTOX.
