Welcome to the Tanztriennale - Moving Meetings #1

Tanztriennale’s new series of MOVING MEETINGS is an invitation for all dance professionals to come together to reflect, engage, share and be curious about each other’s practices and beliefs.

As the hosting city of the Tanztriennale, Hamburg’s dance scene is exceptionally rich and varied, encompassing diverse styles, generations, and cultural backgrounds, yet it is often rare that dance professionals across these different realms have the opportunity to regularly meet, exchange and share perspectives.

Through monthly gatherings, we would like to foster dialogue and exchange on relevant themes and across boundaries that often separate the different dance communities, encouraging a spirit of openness and mutual discovery.

In close collaboration with Tanztriennale’s partners, the MOVING MEETINGS will kick off at Kampnagel in June and continue monthly from September, moving between the institutions and collaborating organizations throughout Hamburg, until the main event week from June 14 – 21, 2026.

Curious? Come join us to move, to meet and to reconnect. See you there!

With Anam (Lukas Lubisia, Tänzer & Choreograf), Francesco Cortese (dancer & project coordinator Junge Choreograf*innen, Hamburg Ballett), Gwen Hsin-Yi Chang, Monica Gillette (artistic co-directors, Tanztriennale 2026) & representatives of the management board of Tanztriennale Hamburg e.V.
