In cooperation with ZDF, Kampnagel will present four hip hop concerts on two evenings, which will be recorded in a pandemic-compatible setting with audience for ZDFkultur, the digital cultural channel of the ZDF media library.
Since her last Kampnagel appearance in 2016, a lot has happened for Haiyti. With several albums celebrated by critics and fans, as well as music videos that appear almost weekly, she is not only one of the most hard-working but also one of the most interesting hiphop artists. Trap or pop, gangster or girlie – Haiyti cannot be defined. The former HfBK art student creates a grandiose interplay of signs and references and traces the loneliness behind the bling bling so convincingly that - according to German newspaper DIE ZEIT - her luxurious desperation even »knocks the great Drake off his throne for the time being«. She now comes to Kampnagel with pieces from her new album »Sui Sui«, which was released in July and which DER SPIEGEL described as »one of the greatest German rap-pop albums of recent years«.
