Debate honestly, act decisively: Democracy thrives on diversity, the power of dialog and the common will to find solutions. After the general election, it remains important that we exchange ideas and are prepared to question our own opinions. With the Democracy Festival at Kampnagel, the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS invites us to debate, wrestle with different ideas and learn from each other. In short: we want to actively experience and rethink democracy. This April, everything revolves around how “Controversy & Confidence” can advance our society – and you can shape our debate with your own questions and arguments! In two special editions of the debate format “Streit & Zuversicht”, we will discuss major political and social issues of the present with well-known guests and the audience. Visitors can also look forward to more controversial talks, interactive workshops for schoolchildren and moving theater performances and concerts.
