Alex Zhang Hungtai (Ex-Dirty Beaches) / David Maranha / Gabriel Ferrandini

This free jazz trio is the latest stroke of genius from multi-instrumentalist and former Dirty Beaches mastermind Alex Zhang Hugntai. Drummer Gabriel Ferrandini and organist David Maranha accompany him in the project, creating music that blends the ghost of Sun Ra’s Arkestra with no wave, ritual music, rhythmic percussion and improvised drone sounds, and provides insight into the intercontinental (jazz) music of the next millennium.
