THE SHADOW is the conquest of theater through musical means: composer and pianist Chilly Gonzales adapts Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale THE SHADOW into a score for chamber ensemble, puppeteers and actors. Together with Canadian director, filmmaker and Puppetmastaz collaborator Adam Traynor he will create a visually expressive wordless musical. With this world premier (in coproduction with Schauspiel Köln), the self-proclaimed »entertainer« Chilly Gonzales returns to Hamburg after a sold out tour of his solo piano works in major European concert halls.
