With her debut KELMTI HORRA, Emel became the voice of the Arab Spring, shaping radical poetry between protest and hope. Since then, the Tunisian artist, now based in New York, has constantly reinvented her sound and established herself as one of the most important voices in global pop. Her new album MRA (“woman” in Arabic) is a powerful feminist manifesto: twelve tracks driven by infectious beats, from hip-hop to reggaeton to pop, carried by lyrics that celebrate empowerment, resistance, and collective strength. “My voice has no end,” Emel sings on SOUTY – opening a political space where people can dance.

MRA was created with and for women: Emel invites artists like Camélia Jordana, Nayomi, and Alyona Alyona to join a movement of tireless women. Musically, the album resonates between Aya Nakamura, Rosalía, and Jay-Z, yet remains unmistakably Emel – boundary-breaking and magnetically powerful.

After her last performance at Kampnagel in 2019, Emel now returns with her band – with an audiovisual concert show where light design and video projections transform her songs into a fully immersive experience.
