"Perspectives on gender, arias & modular bamboo stages", 06.06. and 07.06. from 16:00 with a showing on 07.06. at 18:00
What happens when students, singers, bamboo, arias, electronic music and Migrantpolitan meet? What is a utopian (music) theatre of the future? How can new places of encounter be designed? What could be sustainable materials for modular stages - bamboo with bicycle inner tubes? How does the voice perform identity? In an experimental music theatre workshop, students from the HfMT Hamburg and the HfBK Dresden explore gender and performance with music, text and song. Inspired by works by female composers, innovative mini-scenes between discourse and sound art will be created and performed on a stage made of bamboo.
A cooperation between the HfMT Hamburg, the HfBK Dresden and the Sustainable Theatre Lab as part of the ligeti centre.
