Europe aspires to become the first climate-neutral continent: No more net-greenhouse gases are to be emitted by 2050. This goal is more than a political promise. The European Climate Law makes it a legal obligation for member states to reduce CO2 emissions across all sectors. What measures can be taken to implement these ambitious goals be put into practice? What challenges lie ahead, and what achievements have already been made? What role do society, the economy and politics play in meeting the challenges of this major transformation and what successes have already been achieved?

  • Annika Rittmann, Climate Activist, Fridays For Future
  • Dr. Florian Ranft, Member of the Executive Board and Head of Green New Deal, Progressives Zentrum
  • Alma Spribille, Executive Director, Bundesverband Nachhaltige Wirtschaft e.V.
