During the Long Night, the festival primarily presents first and world premieres from the local scene as well as international guests, alternating with experimental short films.
Taking part this time Berlin guitarist Seth Josel performing the world premiere of a new work by US composer Michelle Lou; the ensemble Micro Oper München with a version of John Cage's Song Books; the Hamburg Dog Trio; the Duo Réplica (Hamburg/Chile) and others. To close the evening, Boyd's Elektro Gitarren Orchester will perform two pieces for twelve electric guitars, electric bass and drums - in memory of the Hamburg musician and instrument lender Christian Smukal, who died in the summer of 2022. In cooperation with the Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg, experimental films will be shown as part of the programme.
