International Festival for Experimental Music

In its 18th year, the Hamburg festival KLUB KATARAKT presents experimental music beyond academic contexts: thematically and socially open, ranging from the unusual to the avantgarde , open not only to specialists but anyone interested in music. One thematic focus is space-related music. Since 2009, the festival has been held annually at the beginning of the year in Kampnagel's West Wing and has developed the tradition of “strolling concerts”, in which the audience becomes an active part of a concert installation, making use of the three halls that merge into one another. Special guest of this year's festival is the Quatuor Bozzini from Montréal/Canada as Ensemble in Residence.
