The word »lounge« is both verb and noun: an action of sitting or lying down in a relaxed manner, or a public space where one can relax. This dual nature of relaxation is the focus of this duet for two bodies identifying as female. Together they move through states of active and passive rest, using each other’s presence to delve deeper into the vibe and into themselves. Heavily influenced by dance genres and sonic textures from the African diaspora living in Lisbon, Marga Alfeirão seeks active assertions of femininity by creating space for lesbian sensualities.
