After Mykki Blanco distilled a form of experimental hip hop from a whirlpool of musical styles and expanded it live into excessive celebrations of queer and trans experiences, Mykki Blanco comes back and presents the album “Stay Close To Music” with a musical spectrum that ranges from gothic rock to orchestral arrangements to cavernous trip-hop beats. In terms of content, the album is Blanco’s spiritual manifestation as a child of Black American Jews who reaches the ecstatic state of Black queer joy through music.

Support is provided by Don Jegosah, a frequent guest at Kampnagel and also featured in Mable Preach's performance APHRO SPACE PHUNK at 18:30 the same evening before. Don has become an underground star in Hamburg with a combination of experimental and avant-garde pop as well as atmospheric performances – and will present songs from a freshly mixed debut album.
