Oozing Gloop, the world’s first autistic green drag queen, wakes up in bed transformed. She is not herself, but a vermin. This revelation leads to a revolution across the five stages of grief about what it means to be alive in the 21st century. This is a play that explores the assertion of the personal as political in an era of bed rot, brain rot and the decay of institutional legitimacy and integrity on full display. In response to the attacks on culture and funding created by the decision to create artificial scarcity through austerity policies, Gloop staged the premiere of this show not on stage, but in a bed.
