Peacetanbul / [sic]nal Radio

Antifascist Food, Drinks and Music

More than just food and music: At Peacetanbul, cuisine meets art and community spirit – now with a radio show added.

»Those who eat, drink, and talk together today will meet with respect and tolerance tomorrow.« This phrase sums up the vision of siblings Ergün Yagbasan and Olcay Beiersdorfer for their Peacetanbul Restaurant at Kampnagel. Filled with love for people and art, Peacetanbul serves dishes like the “Anti-Fascist Wedding Platter” for world peace and offers snacks, drinks, and good vibes in the large Avant-Garden by the Osterbek Canal throughout the Summer Festival.

Ergün Yagbasan’s artistic spirit shows not only in the handmade mirror tiles at the restaurant but also in his record collection, which often transforms the space into a dance floor. During the festival, [sic]nal Radio broadcasts from the bar container on the Kampnagel Piazza. Founded three years ago as a low-threshold platform for local music scenes, it’s based at the Bunker on Feldstraße and streams live music sessions from the festival three days a week.
