In TRANSFIGURED, shape-shifters become figures like the Sphinx, Cassandra and other hermaphroditic prophets and create a world of prophecies, hopes and memories that unfolds. They perform with speech and song in choreographic world building, made accessible through integrated audio description and surtitling. Here's what will undoubtedly happen: Meanings are transformed in movement into ever more future stories that overtake and confirm themselves. Fragments from narratives of speculative and climate fiction make landscapes tilt. They generate temperatures and weather that transform bodies in order to be expressed and create new atmospheres. Unambiguities will expose themselves and the search for a single truth will collapse. This is how it will be. And you will understand nothing until it unfolds.

HEY LISTEN - Audio Description Special: In autumn 2024, four Hamburg groups will present works with artistic and integrated audio description. Kampnagel invites blind and visually impaired audiences to the shows, talks and the opening on Wed 23 Oct. The post-performance talk for TRANSFIGURED is at Sat-07.12.

A pick-up and escort service from the nearby bus and train stations can be requested up to 7 days in advance for this performance barrierefreiheit@kampnagel.de or by voice message to 01796714489.
