With Crack Cloud, a Canadian art collective of the moment comes to Hamburg: The seven-piece band around drummer and frontman Zach Choy and his partner Mohammad Ali Sharar has dealt with drug addiction, loss and self-empowerment on two highly acclaimed albums, provided the soundtrack for Hedi Slimane's first fashion show as head designer for Celine, and counts various multimedia artists and social workers among its extended members. Crack Cloud is also a design studio, audiovisual production company and is involved in addiction therapy. But above all, Crack Cloud is a sensational live band that uses four guitars, saxophones and various instruments to drive minimalist post punk to maximum effect. Before that, Hamburg's legendary Sufi Dub Brothers Viktor Marek and Ashraf Sharif Khan play their exhilarating blend of hip-hop, acid, electro and dub with sitar performance.
