A feminist nightclub for anyone looking to deepen their relationship to art, sex work, and a much-misunderstood organ over advocaat and anecdotes.
Performing intimacy, part four: Following the legendary nightclub QUEENS, TOUCHING YOU (Summer Festival 2024) and SHOTGUN WEDDING (Live Art Festival 2025), Sibylle Peters and the Heteraclub team return to Hamburg’s nightlife district to open DICKS, another feminist nightclub. Here, visitors are invited to rediscover a much-misunderstood organ. Over a round of advocaat, the conversation turns to vulnerability, strap-ons, and the question of why no one ever compares dicks to flowers. DICKS is an unlikely venue with a strict door policy that nonetheless offers something for everyone: Heteras and their queer friends can choose between the Heteraclub team’s peepshow performances and a personal selection of clone-dick dildos. Dick-bearers — and anyone who wants to become one — are invited to intimate portrait sessions in the DickPic studio. The Female Pimps share anecdotes with a twist, sing country songs, welcome guests, and deftly balance performance art, stand-up, and intimate encounter. And for those in need, an experimental workshop programme takes place in the afternoon, offering a chance to warm up with the Hetera team: naked cleaning as an escape route from toxic masculinity?
