Thinkers and activists involved in anti-fascist theory and practice already offer the necessary knowledge to react to and counter the increasing fascisation in many societies. In her lecture, social scientist Vanessa E. Thompson will focus on the relationship between anti-colonialism, abolition (the abolition of oppression) and anti-fascism and ask: How can struggles against fascist violence be conceptualised from the supposed margins, from the borders and camps where they are already taking place? Where is anti-fascism already being practised and what forms of resistance and solidarity are being developed?

The evening will be moderated by Mouna Maaroufi. The second part of the lecture series will take place the following day with Claudia Rankine.
