The Guardian

TESTO is the first full evening show by London’s non-binary drag icon Wet Mess. The work, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as part of the Here&Now Showcase was celebrated frenetically. TESTO is based on interviews with people from different generations who took testosterone while transitioning. On stage, the collected audio material is artistically distorted and then illustrated and incorporated by Wet Mess through movement and lip-syncing. An evening about transitions, testosterone, the edges of drag, the blurred line between performance and reality, between role and self, and the magical in the mundane.

»TESTO is genderpunk at its finest«
