Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in Ukraine, a multitude of artists, activists, and thinkers have been actively creating or nurturing existent practices of care and solidarity, both local and translocal. This aspect of life during the war often remains neglected by the media, thereby diminishing role that communities and grassroots initiatives play in supporting resistance, deconstructing pain and suggesting ways of solidarity existence. This thematic focus brings together transdisciplinary artists, activists and thinkers that reflect on their history and roots, find possibilities of dealing with brutal reality of war and envision utopian future.

Від початку повномасштабного вторгнення Росії в Україну безліч мист_кинь, активіст_ок і мислитель_ок активно формують і розвивають наявні практики піклування та солідарності на локальному і транслокальному рівнях. Цей аспект життя під час війни часто оминають увагою в медіа, тим самим применшуючи роль спільнот і низових ініціатив у підтримці спротиву, деконструкції болю й заохоченні до солідаризації. Цей тематичний фокус об’єднує трансдисциплінарних мист_кинь, активіст_ок і мислитель_ок, що рефлексують над власною історією і корінням, шукають способів впоратися з брутальною реальністю війни й помислити утопічне майбутнє.
