The planned Kampnagel redevelopment evokes nostalgia in many lovers and connoisseurs of the site - with all its niches, stories and oddities. But the speculative view into the future of the former factory buildings also allows for fantastic dreams. If this is still a little difficult for you on a purely imaginary level, you can download a new function in the Kampnagel app [k] to go: THE SPECULATIVE FOYER. Filtered through the smartphone screen, we immerse the large foyer in new colours. Away from any construction planning limits, we gradually begin to add different aesthetics to the Kampnagel foyer in its augmented reality version, to play with figures, to look through walls and through layers of its past and future.
For FOKUS TANZ #9 ON MOBILITY, the first audience members, staff and artists begin to animate the virtual space as digital avatars: Shot in motion capture suits, they move through the speculative spaces.
