A white woman with straight, brown bangs and her hair tied back looks straight into the camera, smiling gently. She is wearing a white shirt and red lipstick. Next to her is a book cover with the title Mein Opa, sein Widerstand gegen die Nazis und ich.

Nora Hespers grew up with this story: Her grandfather, resistance fighter Theo Hesper, was murdered by the Nazis. Her father tells the story again and again. In 2012, Nora Hespers is suddenly asked about her grandfather again. Grandpa Theo even has a Wikipedia entry. Nora Hespers begins to research. She reads interrogation files, produces a podcast and writes a book. She gets in touch with her own family history and asks: What can we learn from the resistance of that time for today? Nora Hespers reads from her book „Mein Opa, sein Widerstand gegen die Nazis und ich“ („My grandfather, his resistance against the Nazis and me“).
