The feminist pop icon has been a guest at Summer Festival several times and last performed at Kampnagel in 2022 with her THE TEACHES OF PEACHES ANNIVERSARY TOUR. Philipp Fussenegger and Judy Landkammer have used intimate footage from this tour and private archive material to create a feature film that chronicles Canadian Merrill Nisker's transformation into the internationally acclaimed artist Peaches. With biting humor and sharp wit, Peaches champions LGBTQIA+ rights, focuses on questions of gender and sexual identity, and creates stage performances that are as artistic as they are excessive. At the Summer Festival, Peaches will present the film herself, followed by a Q&A session.
