With Saïdo Lehlouh, Summer Festival highlights an artist who transfers hip hop and various styles like krumping or breakdance into virtuosic, hyperintense and visually powerful choreographies. His distinctive dance language is taking European stages by storm and heralding the future of contemporary dance. After two guest performances at Kampnagel, the French choreographer is now presenting his latest work, TÉMOIN: a planetary, circling network of 20 dancers set to a dark, swirling tapestry of sound of 90s hip hop. Throughout, individuals break away from the group with technically brilliant moves, seeking contact and community. The group is held together as if in a cosmic energy field with movements anchored in the groove and of hypnotic power. TÉMOIN is characterized by the idea of the collective, which is fundamental to Lehlouh’s work as co-director of the CCN de Rennes et de Bretagne. Thus, choreographers will be dancing on stage, whose own works will be presented after the performances: in a full-day itinerary curated by Lehlouh through all six major art museums of Kunstmeile.

You see the silhouettes of three people in a dark room. The people are illuminated in such a way that you can't see their faces. They are standing at some distance from each other and do not appear to be moving.
