With his virtuosic and aesthetically intense choreographies rooted in hip hop culture, Saïdo Lehlouh from Collective FAIR-E is paving the way for the future of contemporary dance. At the invitation of Kunstmeile Hamburg, the French artist is curating an all-day course of performances in all six Kunstmeile institutions. Based on the idea of the collective as the core of an aesthetic engagement characterized by the relationship between the individual and the community, he invites different artists and choreographers he works with for several years, to present works to the theme CORE. Lehlouh thus weaves a choreographic thread among the six houses, opening up new possibilities for encounters through dialogue with other aesthetic forms. The live-program begins spans an entire dayall over Kunstmeile Hamburg, and ends with a large-scale choreography with over 100 performers at the town hall square. It provides insight into a diverse European scene that generates new, often genre-breaking impulses for contemporary dance. Many of the invited artists will also perform as dancers in Saïdo Lehlouh’s significant stage work TÉMOIN, which will be presented at Kampnagel on the days leading up to the Kunstmeile parcours.

Details on the program of the parcours below!
