The work of dancer and choreographer Johanna Faye, who also served as co-director of the CCN de Rennes et de Bretagne with the Collectif FAIR-E for four years, is characterized by the exploration of different aesthetics and her impressive ability to combine them. One of her notable works is the powerful stage production EARTHBOUND, created in collaboration with Saïdo Lehlouh in 2021, which can also be seen as part of CORE in an adaptation for Deichtorhallen. DRINK THE SEA INSIDE OF ME exemplifies her commitment to expressing deep emotions through the art of dance. In a duet with dancer and choreographer Karim Khouader, with whom she worked in EARTHBOUND as well as TÉMOIN, which will be presented at Kampnagel prior to the CORE performances, Faye explores the fluid and boundless nature of love to find new ways of vulnerability and togetherness through a polyphony of movement languages.
