From 1944-1945, Warehouse G in Hamburg’s free port was used as a subcamp for Neuengamme concentration camp. The documentary film sheds light on the past, present and future of Lagerhaus G. Contemporary witnesses and historians talk about the invisible history of forced labor in the port of Hamburg. The film is part of the exhibition KULTURRETTER:INNEN and is followed by a talk with filmmaker Markus Fiedler (“Initiative Dessauer Ufer”), who asks whether and how dignified remembrance is possible in such a planning area.
